Description
The William & Mary MBA Program integrates business concepts with experiential learning to enable our graduates to excel in their careers. W&M students have the extraordinary opportunity to learn from world-class faculty, as well as seasoned business practitioners. Working closely with faculty and students, these Executive Partners (EPs), a group of over 120 active and retired senior business executives from many industries and backgrounds, share their experience inside and outside of the classroom on a daily basis. Unlike visiting speakers on other campuses, EPs form an integral part of the W&M community and are readily accessible to coach, advise, and offer their personal perspective over a student's two year education.
Essential business tools and concepts are introduced in the first year of the program through the three modules of the Core Curriculum. To be sure that W&M MBAs have the ability to outpace their peers from day one on the job, Leadership Advantage (LeAd) matches each student with an Executive Partner for personalized coaching and preparation in the skills that matter most to businesses.
The second year curriculum allows candidates to select two Career Acceleration Modules – seven-week immersion electives for specialization; Field Consultancy – real consulting projects with major companies; an International Business Practicum; as well as traditional electives. This hands-on involvement ensures that our students won’t spend two years talking about what happens in the business world. Instead, they make decisions, develop strategy and acquire the first-hand business knowledge that differentiates the William & Mary MBA.
