    MBA Programs Overview

    One-Year MBA
In 1963, the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business launched a full-scale one-year MBA program—the first program of its kind to be offered in the United States. The One-Year MBA enables you to refine your management skills and quickly return to the work world. The Competency-Based Coaching Program will help you identify and enhance the competencies required for success in your chosen career. This program begins in Mid-May.

    Two-Year MBA
Our Two-Year MBA allows the time to develop your skills in an intended discipline. Including a summer internship, you will work through a Katz MBA Transformation process, which will position you as highly valued by the market. This program begins in Mid-August.

    Dual Degree MBAs

Our Dual-Degree programs add focused learning to your business education in the disciplines of information science, biotechnology, marketing of engineered products, law, or international business. The Katz MBA Transformation Process and internship allow you to improve upon skill development. These programs begin in Mid-August.

    Part-time MBA

The Katz part-time MBA program has been ranked among the top part-time programs in the United States. The program encompasses the same techniques and teaching philosophies as the full-time program. Full-time program electives are offered in the evening to accommodate part-time students. This program has three intakes: Aug, Jan, and April.

Katz MBA - A Transformation Process

As you embark upon your graduate business education, you bring with you a set of academic, professional and social experiences. In addition, you have a vision for your future. The expectation you have coming to an MBA program is that you will undergo a transformation. You will build an academic foundation that will provide you with the knowledge and tools to approach business in different manner than before. You will have experiences that will shape your mind and approach to problem solving, strengthen your ability to analyze complex business issues, lead people, drive for results and work as an effective team member. This transformation begins with a assessment of yourself.

Right from the beginning of your MBA program you will have the opportunity to perform a self inventory with tests such as CareerLeader, 360 competency assessment, and develop your own personalized career plan. A career counselor will help you interpret and use the results, ultimately leading you to a clearer perception of yourself and your environment.

Building on this self knowledge and intended career focus, our MBA students can choose form a rich toolbox of activities to address gaps and build on strengths: professional development workshops, project courses, case competitions, leaderships training, extracurricular Katz activities and assistance from staff and faculty. We want to direct you along a path that you own to reach your intended career goals.

    Research and Teaching

At Katz, teaching and research are inseparable. This is a hallmark of a great program. Faculty members of the Katz School embody the characteristics of the modern scholar—distinguished researcher and excellent teacher. The faculty focus on building the future: the future of each student, the future of the profession, and the future of the Katz School as a pre-eminent school of business. Faculty members publish their work in the most prestigious academic journals in their disciplines. Among our faculty are the founding editor of the Journal of Corporate Finance, the editor of the Journal of Management Account Research and associate editors of all the primary accounting and finance journals, from the Accounting Review to the Review of Financial Economics.

    Katzport

KATZPORT is a program by which the KATZPORT partnership provides critical information to both employers and our international students regarding the immigration process. We do this in two ways. First, we demystify the often complex immigration process with clear, straightforward information regarding how employers can, with minimal effort; employ foreign nationals in the United States.

Second, we provide our students with targeted instruction on immigration law and procedure as it relates to their unique situation in order to prepare them for the job market. Our students are taught what they have to do for swift and seamless placement.
