    Description

THE BUSINESS SCHOOL AT GEORGIA TECH
The intersection of business and technology has always been at the heart of the business school at Georgia Tech, and today that focus is more relevant than ever before. Leveraging the Georgia Tech’s strengths in entrepreneurship and technology innovation, the MBA program grounds students in critical thinking and teaches them to perform in a highly technological and global environment. The interdisciplinary curriculum stresses teams work, cultural diversity, and relevant solutions to real-world problems to prepare tomorrow’s business leaders for changing technological environments.

WHAT THE GEORGIA TECH MBA WILL DO FOR YOU
The Georgia MBA program will help you develop the skills and gain the vision to become a valued leader in your field. At Georgia Tech you will be exposed to the social, environmental, political, and international factors shaping the global marketplace. Some of the primary advantages include: intimate class sizes that foster group cooperation and a true understanding of the business environment; a close-knit community enriching student and faculty relationships; access to an experienced career services team with strong ties to businesses across the nation and an outstanding record in job placement, a top-ranked MBA program and a degree that is recognized worldwide.

We also offer a dual degree program, which allows students enrolled in another graduate program at Georgia Tech to earn the MBA as well. For the dual degree program the number of hours in the MBA is reduced from 54 semester hours to 39.

Another strength of the program is flexibility. In addition to helping you to advance your career, the program provides many opportunities to direct your career toward new areas of interest. The MBA program gives you the freedom to explore a wide variety of options for your future.

    CURRICULUM
The MBA curriculum provides a solid foundation in the fundamentals of business while emphasizing global, technological and entrepreneurial perspectives.

Your classes may incorporate case analysis, group projects, presentations by students and corporate lecturers, class discussion, lectures, and computer simulations. The development of your interpersonal skills through networking with your classmates, alumni, faculty, and business leaders is as much a part of the MBA program as the academic coursework. Throughout the program, we strive to foster a sense of teamwork and cooperation. Group projects are an integral component in many classes, and class sizes are small to encourage students and faculty to get to know each other.

In the first year you will develop team-working skills while gaining a solid academic foundation that incorporates our emphasis on global technology management. A series of foundation courses form a common core of knowledge and provide the basis for your subsequent electives. In your second year you will build upon the first-year foundation courses and acquire specific areas of competency through the selection of elective courses. The flexibility of the second year of the program allows you to design your own concentration. You'll choose from electives in any combination of areas to meet your professional and personal goals.

    ADMISSION
In evaluating MBA applications, we assess each applicant as an individual. Our goal is to select prospective students who aspire to global leadership positions. We look for applicants with outstanding intellectual promise and strong interpersonal skills, as well as professional and personal maturity and a strong sense of personal ethics and responsibility. Because a high percentage of our applicant pool is qualified for admission, successful applicants are those who present the most compelling arguments for admission and can distinguish themselves from other applicants by their achievements, background, and sense of purpose.
