    USP of the school

The School of Management has an impressive reputation as one of the UK's leading Business Schools with excellent credentials in research and teaching and is ranked accordingly.

    Description

The School's location, just one and a half hours from London, overlooking the historic World Heritage City of Bath is another asset. The University is based on a modern campus with some of the best sporting facilities in the country and offers an attractive environment that is both intellectually and culturally stimulating.

Professor Richard Ellio is Dean of the School which has expertise in Strategy, Change Management, Marketing, Strategic Purchasing & Supply, Knowledge Management. Graduates from the School are targeted by top recruiters and the School maintains close links with business through research, consultancy, targeted programmes as well as student placement and project schemes.

The Bath MBA is a general management programme designed for mature, experienced individuals with a minimum three years post-graduation experience. A broad range of industry sectors are represented on the Bath MBA, which is available in full- and part-time formats and which provides a solid foundation in key business disciplines. Applicants benefit from the cross-fertilisation of ideas and learning from their peers. Our culture and ethos encourage critical thinking, teamwork, creativity and personal development through a small-group, high-contact teaching environment that is based upon debate, active enquiry and interaction between academics and students.

Our one-year Full-time programme attracts a culturally diverse cohort of students drawn from around 20 different countries. A key feature of our part-time, Executive programme is the rapid return on investment to sponsoring organisations. Course assignments are set to enable students to reflect on their learning and add value to their organisation. The Bath MBA Scholarship Fund is available to excellent applicants to both the Full-time and Executive Bath MBA programmes, while our non-UK based Bath MBA Chevening top-up Scholarship scheme provides additional funds for British Council Chevening scholars. Through the generous sponsorship of Moog Inc the school also offers an additional partial scholarship for a student on the full time programme. Other bursaries and scholarships are available through the University's International Office.

The Bath MBA typically attracts mature individuals seeking to broaden and deepen their general management knowledge and courses on the Full-time programme include: financial management, HR management, marketing, operations management, corporate social responsibility; electives; strategy and change; the Entrepreneurship in Action Programme; management and personal skills; and the final project.

The part-time Executive Bath MBA programme covers the same core subjects as the Full-time Bath MBA programme within a structure of one-week residential modules. This model is an attractive option for students based both in and outside the UK. The choice of start dates and flexible duration enables the individual to find an equitable work-life-study balance, while our 'pay as you go' funding option appeals to self -funding candidates who seeking to invest in a value added programme of personal development.
