To begin with, a student is given with two detailed questionnaires for extracting all the ‘raw information’. Without worrying about the quality of English, a student is expected to pour one’s heart out into the responses to the exhaustive questionnaire. Through a student’s response, we are able to judge one’s accomplishments till date, the drawbacks in profile, career aspirations, and life goals.
The assigned Mentor to a student conducts a detailed brainstorming session- over phone or Skype with the student; over this rigorous session, the mentor suggests the ideal career plan for the student- something that shall not only lend the student, one’s best chance of making into the US Universities but also lead to a happy, satisfying career. By the end of the brainstorming session, a student has a broad ‘theme’ in place; a story that links one’s past with the need for MS from a US University (or other global institutions), and future aspirations. The brainstorming and career counseling leg is probably the most important part of the MS Admissions Consulting process with us.
After rigorous contemplation over a student’s profile, GRE scores, career plans, preferred location and duration, and planned expenses for the MS program, we shortlist a bunch of universities. Spreading the risk aptly, we shortlist a few universities in the dream category, a few in the practical category, and a few in the safe category. This portfolio of universities allows us to be aggressive about a student’s candidature while ensuring adequate admits towards end of the season.
Once the ‘theme’ of application is in place and schools have been shortlisted, we divulge deeper into the MS Admissions Counselling process. Every essay needed by every university is personalized for the student, ensuring quality work that is original in nature, free of any template approach.
A student is helped with the letters of recommendation, resume, online application forms, and all the peripheral documents. It is ensured that every aspect of the application that has to go through the admissions committee is duly scrutinized by us.
Once the entire work is done and the applications are ready to be submitted, a student is expected to share with us, the access to the applications portal. We go through the entire application once more to ensure that the entire application is free of any errors.
If interview forms a part of the selection process to any university, we help a student with the same. An exhaustive list of questions generally asked in such interview is shared with a student and the student is helped to prepare answers to the same. Adequate mock interviews are, then, conducted over Skype. Each interview is followed by a detailed feedback for improvement.
